Dr. Coldiron received a Bachelor's degree in Zoology in 1998 from the University of Oklahoma and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 2004. Dr. Coldiron has extensive experience in small animal medicine & surgery as well as zoo, exotic and wildlife medicine & surgery. Dr. Coldiron is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians and Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, and currently serves on the Animal Welfare Legislative Commitee and is a member of the Pet Quality Task Force. Dr. Coldiron is currently the contract veterinarian for the Animal Welfare Department in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. Coldiron has several non-traditional pets including an iguana, bearded dragon, yellow-nape Amazon parrot, and a ball python. Two domesticated felines...Cali and Ariel...rule the Coldiron home!
Dr. Coldiron has been married to his wife, Kym, since 1998 and together they have two sons, Caden & Isaac. Currently, Kym is a registered nurse at OU Medical Center/Children's Hospital, but she truely enjoys being a stay-at-home mom.
Dr. Coldiron has many hobbies including: being a husband & father, fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, rapelling, camping and hiking, rock climbing, weight-lifting, running, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
